Google has turned Chrome into an agentic browser powered by Gemini.

A new Gemini side panel now stays with you across tabs, letting you compare options, summarize pages, and pull context without switching views. Chrome also adds Nano Banana for prompt-based image editing directly in the browser, no downloads or extra tools.

Gemini now connects deeply with Gmail, Calendar, YouTube, Maps, Shopping, and Flights to complete real tasks end to end. Auto-browse pushes this further by letting Gemini handle multi-step workflows like travel planning and research on its own.
