Google DeepMind has launched Veo 3.1, a major update powering its AI filmmaking tool, Flow.

The new version gives creators richer audio, sharper visuals, and more narrative control, marking a big leap in AI video generation.

Flow now supports audio across all features like Ingredients to Video, Frames to Video, and Extend, allowing users to add realistic sound and craft complete scenes from text or images. Creators can also edit directly in Flow, adding or removing elements with tools like Insert for natural-looking updates.

The model is also available through the Gemini API, and the Gemini app, opening new creative possibilities for filmmakers, artists, and developers alike.

Paper, a new design app for creators, has raised $4.2 million in seed funding led by Accel and Basecase.

The startup aims to build a fast, modern design platform where designers can create art, motion graphics, and visual effects all in one place.

The app just launched its Alpha version, adding big features like Video Export, Text Gradients, new Shaders, and a custom Paper Mono font.

Paper positions itself as a next-gen alternative to Figma, focused on blending design and animation seamlessly.

It’s now available for free, with Video Export exclusive to Paper Pro users.

Slack has officially added ChatGPT integration, turning your workspace into an AI-powered assistant.

You can now ask questions, draft content, brainstorm, and get instant answers, all inside Slack’s new sidebar.

The update also brings AI agents from Anthropic, Google, and others, plus Slack’s new Real-Time Search API, making it faster to find and create information.

NotebookLM is rolling out a major update packed with new visual styles, faster tools, and smarter customization.

The long-rumored Magic View is finally revealed, it’s a simple banner image generator that gives each notebook a visual identity based on its content.

The update also adds:

• Six new Video Overview styles, powered by Google’s Nano Banana model — including fun ones like Anime, and a new “Brief” mode for quick summaries.

• A Fast Research option for users who need quick results, sitting alongside the deeper “Deep Research” mode.

• New infographic formats in both landscape and portrait for better presentation use.

• Tella now lets editors watch videos at up to 8x speed while editing for faster review.

• Krea launched its iOS app, letting users create, edit, and generate AI art on the go.

• LottieFiles released State Machines, a no-code tool for building interactive, logic-based animations in Lottie Creator.

• Contra launched its Community Feed, turning the platform into a creative social network for freelancers to share and collaborate.

• Figma rolled out Connectors in Figma Make, allowing direct integration with apps like Notion, Linear, and Asana.

• Figma now lets users publish Figma Make projects to GitHub for smoother developer handoff.

• Figma added the ability to create FigJam diagrams directly from ChatGPT for faster brainstorming.

• Canva now lets users create, edit, translate, and preview full designs inside ChatGPT.

• ElevenLabs released ElevenLabs UI, an open-source component library for building AI audio and voice interfaces.

• n8n introduced AI Workflow Builder (Beta), which turns text prompts into complete workflows, now rolling out to n8n Cloud.

• v0 added image editing in Design Mode, allowing direct visual adjustments within the editor.

• Spline now lets users place logos or vector shapes on images and generate image variations easily.

• Cap released v0.3.72, upgrading its recording picker, auto-zoom, and Windows encoding.

• Sketch announced a major app-wide revamp, featuring a completely redesigned Inspector and many subtle UI improvements coming soon in beta.
