TOP STORY

🚨 Notion finally works offline (After 7 Long Years)

1/4

For years, Notion fans begged for one thing: offline mode. Until now, you couldn’t really use Notion without internet. No subway notes. No airplane writing. No “wifi’s down, let me still work” moments.

That just changed. Notion now lets you view, edit, and create notes without internet on desktop and mobile. When you get back online, everything syncs up automatically.

How it works:

  • Mark a page as Available offline (via the ••• menu or SettingsOffline).

  • Paid users (Plus, Business, Enter

prise) also get automatic offline access for favorites + recently viewed pages.

  • Works with text, checklists, and small databases (up to 50 rows).

What doesn’t work yet:

  • Embeds, forms, AI blocks, and big databases stay online-only.

  • Subpages don’t auto-download — you need to mark them one by one.

Reddit’s buzzing too. Some users are thrilled (“finally, I can take notes on planes!”), while others say it feels half-done (“why not all subpages by default?”). Even Notion’s own team admits this is just step one of a bigger offline rollout.

Why it took so long:

CEO Ivan Zhao explained: Notion’s block-based database is complex, and they had to build a system to handle conflicts if multiple people edited offline at the same time. That’s why it’s been a 7-year wait.

👉 Bottom line is: It’s here, it works, but it’s limited. Still, for millions of users, this update means you can finally trust Notion to work anywhere now...even offline.

AI DRAMA

😱 Thousands of Grok Chats Are Now on Google

2/4

Elon Musk’s chatbot Grok just leaked into the open web.

Forbes found that when Grok users hit “share,” the bot creates a public link — and those links are now indexed by Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo. That means anyone can search and read private conversations.

And these aren’t harmless notes. The leaked chats include:

  • Guides on making fentanyl

  • Suicide methods and bomb tips

  • Even a plan for killing Elon Musk himself

This mirrors what happened last month with OpenAI and Meta, whose chats also showed up on Google. At the time, Grok bragged it had “no such sharing feature” and that it “prioritize[s] privacy.”

But here we are. Hundreds of thousands of Grok chats are now out in the open.

xAI hasn’t commented yet on how long this has been happening, or how they plan to fix it.
